On March 22, 2016, James Meyer of Harper Meyer Perez Hagen Albert Dribin & DeLuca LLP was quoted in the front-page article of the Daily Business Review entitled “Running in Tandem: US-Cuba, Colombia-FARC Talks in Cuba”. The article notes the parallel tracks of two sets of talks that have been advancing at a similar pace: the U.S.-Cuba rapprochement and the waning war between the Colombian government and the FARC, both of which have been ongoing for more than 50 years. Mr. Meyer commented on the similarities in timing and in nature of the negotiations, as well as on
Cuba’s role in the mediation between Colombia and the FARC and the U.S.-Cuba rapprochement.
