Our Real Estate practice provides legal services in routine and complex property transactions, including such areas as title examination, closings, acquisitions, financing, leasing, permit processing, clearing of title problems and local taxation.
Our services include the evaluation, negotiation and documentation of residential and commercial transactions, including and planned unit developments, and drafting declarations, covenants, restrictions and easements for implementing and operating such condominium and planned unit development projects. Our firm experience includes the representation of purchasers, sellers, investors, lenders and developers in transactions in which real estate constitutes the collateral for the lending or borrowing of funds or for private investment.
In the international arena, we counsel foreign investors and lending institutions doing business in Florida regarding such issues as compliance with qualification statutes, usury laws, mortgage lending requirements, and applicable local taxes. In addition, our Real Estate practice complements and assists our Corporate practice in the real estate aspects of mergers, acquisitions, sales and financing transactions, as well as ownership structuring.
