Andrea Villa is a seasoned attorney specializing in corporate and business matters for high-net-worth individuals, companies, and family offices, with a particular focus on aircraft and vessel transactions. She provides comprehensive counsel on international and domestic issues, guiding clients through the complexities of acquiring, financing, leasing, and registering new and pre-owned aircraft.
Her expertise includes structuring tax-efficient solutions, registering foreign-owned aircraft, and ensuring compliance with FAA and DOT regulations. Andrea advises on complex cross-border transactions, non-citizen ownership structures, aircraft import and export matters, sales and use tax planning, joint ownership, charter management, and fractional ownership. She also represents borrowers, sellers, and investors in aircraft financing and leasing across multiple jurisdictions worldwide.
In the yachting industry, Andrea has extensive experience in maritime transactions. She assists clients with purchase and sale agreements, new construction, importation and exportation, leasing, and financing. Her guidance includes yacht ownership and registration structures, as well as state and federal tax considerations and asset liability management.
Andrea earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law and is licensed to practice in Florida. She has shared her expertise as a co-professor at St. Thomas Law School, teaching “Recreational Boating and Cruising.” Currently, she serves as the United States Designated Representative for the L2B Aviation Group, the world’s largest and most prestigious network of aviation law firms. She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the National Business Aviation Association, International Aircraft Dealers Association, National Aircraft Finance Association, and International Yacht Brokers Association.
