Phil Berberian

Phil Berberian focuses his practice in the areas of sports and entertainment, intellectual property, and cyberlaw.

Phil attended Victoria College at the University of Toronto where he received an Honours B.A. in History and Political Science, followed soon after by a diploma in Recording Arts Management from the Harris Institute for the Arts. He went on to earn his J.D. from St. Thomas University College of Law, graduating magna cum laude. While at St. Thomas, he specialized and received certificates in Business Law and Intellectual Property Law. During his final semester of law school, Phil had the privilege of being accepted for a judicial internship with the Honorable Adalberto Jordan of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

Prior to entering the legal profession, Phil had worked for major record label BMG in Toronto, for sports network ESPN in New York, and most recently had overseen the operation and business development of Allegro Music Center in Miami, for which he ultimately brokered the sale of the business to Music & Arts, a subsidiary of Guitar Center.

Phil is also a Royal Conservatory of Music, classically trained pianist, who has experience in the music industry as a performer, songwriter, composer, producer, and manager for recording artists.
