On November 1, 2022, Harper Meyer LLP was honored to host a gathering of lawyers from the International Law Section of The Florida Bar (ILS) and the Paris Bar Association (PBA) as they signed a cooperation agreement laying the groundwork for future collaboration between the organizations. Harper Meyer partner Jacqueline Villalba, current chair of the ILS, signed on behalf of the Florida organization.
The PBA represents over 30,000 attorneys – over half of the attorneys who practice law in France with equal numbers of men and women within its ranks. Founded under the monarchy of Louis XIV, its primary goals are to organize and structure the legal profession, deepen training and adapt it to the profound social changes taking place, and increase the role and influence of law in France and internationally.
