Francisco Martinez Diaz-Granados is an associate attorney at Harper Meyer LLP. His practice focuses on international tax, trust and estate planning, and general corporate matters for companies, family offices, and high-net-worth domestic and international clients.
Before joining the firm, Francisco served as manager at the Council of the Americas, an international business organization fostering dialogue between corporate leaders and public officials across Latin America and the United States. In that role, he advised clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies and multinational corporations to regional multilatinas, building strategic partnerships that advanced his clients’ regional business objectives.
Francisco earned his J.D. with cum laude honors from St. Thomas University College of Law, where he attended on a merit scholarship and earned a Tax Law Certificate. While in law school, he clerked for various law firms, gaining experience in commercial litigation, maritime law, and international business and tax law. He received several academic honors, including “CALI Book Awards” in Legal Research and Writing, Advanced Legal Research and Writing, and Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
Born and raised in Santa Marta, Colombia, Francisco holds dual bachelor’s degrees in economics and political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed coursework in public policy and international economics at the National University of Singapore.
