Blake Bierman

Blake Bierman concentrates his practice on assisting high-net-worth individuals and companies with international and domestic aviation matters, with a particular focus on aviation transactions. He represents foreign and domestic clients in the acquisition, financing, leasing, and registration of new and pre-owned aircraft across the United States, Latin America, and Europe, with a special focus on Central America.

Blake’s experience encompasses all aspects of business aircraft transactions, from structuring and planning ownership and operations to minimizing exposure to sales, use, and VAT taxes as well as cross-border tariff challenges. He is skilled in implementing tax-efficient structures, registering foreign-owned aircraft for non-citizens, and ensuring compliance with FAA, DOT, and other regulatory requirements. His prior professional experience with an IS-BAO Stage Two aircraft operator and GSA contractor provides deep industry that allow him to guide clients through complex operational challenges. Blake also advises corporate clients on export control compliance matters, including with the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and U.S. economic embargoes administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). His deep industry knowledge allows him to guide clients through complex commercial transactions, capital equipment financings, and regulatory compliance matters worldwide.

Born and raised in South Florida, Blake plays an active in role in the alternative dispute resolution community, advocating for the continued development of Miami as an international arbitration hub. As the financial center of Latin America, he sees Miami as the ideal seat to offer legal security while promoting corporate diplomacy and foreign direct investment throughout the region.
